THIS IS WHAT WE BELIEVE

SCRIPTURE: The Bible is the inspired Word of God, true, perfect and without error. Therefore all that we teach, confess, and believe is based solely upon the Holy Bible. 2 Timothy 3.16; 2 Peter 1.20-21

GOD: The Holy Bible makes known that God is Triune, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; three persons, one divine essence. Matthew 28.19; Ephesians 4.6

JESUS CHRIST: Jesus is both true God and true man, equal to the Father and the only Savior of mankind. Matthew 16.16; John 5.23; John 14.6; Acts 4.12

CREATION: In the beginning God created all things that exist, including the first people Adam and Eve. Genesis 1-2; John 1.3; Col 1.16; Hebrews 11.3

SIN: Since the fall of Adam, man is conceived and born in sin. He is by nature spiritually blind, dead, an enemy of God, condemned to eternal damnation, and with no hope outside of Christ. Psalms 51.5; Romans 3.23; 1 John 1.8

JUSTIFICATION: God has provided the only means of salvation for sinners by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus; God declares men righteous only on account of Jesus.

Ephesians 2.8; Romans 3.21-25; Romans 4.25; 2 Corinthians 5.19

CONVERSION: Faith is not a decision or choice by man; it is entirely the work of the Holy Spirit with the Gospel. John 3.5-6; Romans 10.17; 1 Peter 1.23

GOOD WORKS: The Holy Spirit brings about faith, forgiveness, and all other good things as a result (not cause) of faith in Christ. Galatians 5.22-23

SECOND COMING OF CHRIST: Jesus will come again suddenly and unexpectedly. His coming will be on the Last Day and will immediately bring about the judgment of all men. Mark 13.32; Matthew 24-25; 2 Peter 3.10
