CHRISTIAN VARIETY SHOW

On Sunday February 19, 2012, "HIS LITTLE LAMBS" Ministry and Variety Show featuring Karen and Timothy Anders will be sharing the "Good News of Jesus" during our Family Sunday School hour. Their program will include puppets, ventriloquism, juggling, and singing.

MISSION U SCHOOL OF WITNESSING

Over 100 million people in the United States are unchurched. The number of self-identified Christians in America has dropped by 10 percent from 1990 to 2008.

New religions have been on the rise. Buddhism has increased 500 percent and the number of Islam followers is up by 300 percent. Perhaps most alarming is the 300 percent increase of Americans who identify with no religion at all, this accounts for 12 million Americans. The least unchurched generation is the millennial generation. One in four teens and young adults identify with no religion at all.

Jesus has commissioned us to bring the Gospel to all the nations. Our nation is especially in need of hearing the life-saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. MISSION U School of Witnessing trains lay people to share the Gospel in a 21^st century setting.

GriefShare

The death of a spouse, child, family member or friend is devastating.Christians are able to claim an eternal perspective and can rejoice that the person they lost is now in the presence of his or her Creator. Even so, as humans, we must grieve a loss so deep and significant. The GriefShare ministry is designed to help people recover from the deep hurt of loss. GriefShare includes three key elements to guide the healing process. Each week, videos feature personal stories of people like you who are grieving the death of a loved one. In addition, GriefShare creates a support group for all who participate. These along with the weekly workbook exercises can make areal difference in your recovery. GriefShare, with its biblical Christ-centered perspective is an effective tool to help people find or deepen faith in Christ as they examine soul-level questions about death, dying, their own mortality and eternal life. GriefShare points grieving people to Christ as the source of their healing. Are you or someone you know grieving? Consider GriefShare as one of God's good means of comforting those who grieve.

Preschool:
We are currently accepting enrollments for preschool, ages 3 and 4. Click on the preschool tab for more information.

Midweek Program:

This program runs September through May and is offered to children ages Kindergarten through Grade 8. We will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:30pm. To register, please call 466-3833, ext. 200. For more information on Midweek school, please click on the midweek tab.

Recycling:

Please continue to recycle your paper here. We receive a monthly check from Abitibi Paper Company for the amount recycled.

Portals of Prayer:

Portals of Prayer area daily devotional booklet made available by Faith Lutheran Church to assist in personal and family devotions. An order of worship as well as Martin Luther's Morning and Evening prayers are included in this booklet.Copies are available on the table outside the church office. Large print editions of Portals of Prayer are also available. In order to have an adequate number of copies available, please contact the church office if you would like to receive the large print edition.
